The Las Vegas Star reports that the Food and Drug Administration on Thursday announced that it had found no evidence that Viagra or the “little blue pill” had any role in the deaths of Las Vegas resident men who died after a car accident.
“This does not make any sense. Viagra and its competitors have been known to kill people,” said David Gold, an epidemiologist at the Cleveland Clinic.
The FDA said it found no evidence that these men had a link to the deaths.
In the latest FDA warning, a study published in the New England Journal of Medicine found that Viagra had been associated with a 50 percent increase in deaths after a car accident, the same study reported in theNew England Journal of Medicine.
